**Facility:** BayCare Health System, Laboratory Services – BRMC

**Shift:** 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Day Shift – 12 Hours)

**Schedule:** Full-Time | Every Weekend

**Status:** Non-Exempt

**Role Overview**

As a **Clinical Laboratory Scientist I** , you will perform essential diagnostic testing that directly supports patient diagnosis and care. This role includes quality control procedures, moderate‑ to high‑complexity testing, maintenance of laboratory systems, and ensuring the overall accuracy and reliability of laboratory operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures

+ Prepare reagents and report results according to established policies

+ Review and oversee moderate‑ to high‑complexity laboratory testing

+ Monitor and maintain laboratory computer applications

+ Maintain laboratory equipment and supply inventory

+ Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards

+ Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff

+ Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Education – Required**

+ Associate’s degree in Medical Technology **or** a related scientific field

**Education – Preferred**

+ Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field

**Certification & Licensure – Required**

+ State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

**Experience – Required**

+ Clinical laboratory experience

+ Minimum of four (4) months of experience performing clinical laboratory testing
