Job Description

To ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel/resort environment. Contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.

Responsibilities

o Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
o Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work to Engineering Services staff.
o Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
o Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning plumbing and electrical, etc.).
o Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
o Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
o Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations).
o Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
o Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
o Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
o Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
o Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
o Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
o Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
o Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
o Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:
o Lift 25/50 pounds regularly
o Respond quickly to sounds
o Move safely over uneven terrain
o See and respond to dangerous situations
o Safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds
o Work in extreme weather
o Wear personal protective equipment correctly most of the day
o Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, taste, smell.
o Required to work at heights above 100 feet.
o Ability to work quickly and efficiently
