Social Worker Supervisor
Work Schedule/Days: Day / Monday - Friday

Provides system leadership and supervision to the Social Work department, including oversight and coordination of services to ensure consistency with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's mission and vision. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
+ Master’s degree in social work from an accredited graduate school
+ Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
+ Five years of experience in postgraduate social work
+ Three years of experience in a pediatric medical setting
+ Two years of experience in supervision
+ Experience in leadership
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
+ Must be able to successfully pass the Basic Windows Skill Assessment at 80% or higher rating within 30 days of employment
+ Ability to work as part of interdisciplinary team
+ Knowledge of age-appropriate treatment and practice
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills
1. Coordinates the ongoing process of social work service delivery to patients and families, incorporating age-related and developmental-specific requirements.
2. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and accountability by overseeing budget preparation and monthly budget oversight for cost center and donor funds.
3. Manages the performance and utilization of staff for effective and efficient services.
4. Participates in the performance improvement process for the department, including responsibility for accreditation readiness.
5. Supervises and coordinates social work student education.
6. Participates in professional development activities for direct and indirect reports.
7. Manages daily operations of the Social Work program for the system.
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
