**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based in Atlanta, Georgia.

_This position is expected to begin in May 2023._

**Job Description Summary**

+ Performs specific and limited portions of the broader assignments of an experienced engineer.

+ Provides specialized skills on complex technical and/or business process matters in one or more areas of knowledge.

+ Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects within established procedures and practices, with decisions guided by policy, procedure, business plan, and/or a senior supervisor.

+ May lead one or more teams in the delivery of work efforts that are often complex.

+ Contributes as a specialist on complex technical and/or business process function in one or more areas of knowledge, providing proposed improvements to existing processes and delivering solutions where precedent may not exist.

+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

+ Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered and identifies discrepancies in results, if any.

+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

+ Analyzes and applies solutions to challenging issues within area of expertise within a sub-group or team within their function, business unit or technical discipline, using standard operating procedures/methodologies as a basis.

+ Occasionally interacts directly with client to gather information and discuss project requirements.

+ Participates in limited marketing efforts and business development.

**Job Responsibilities**

+ Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment.

+ Builds analytic and design skills.

+ Conducts engineering design under limited supervision of an experienced engineer.

+ Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

+ Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

+ Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

+ Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations.

+ Proposes approaches to solve new problems encountered.

+ Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

+ Electrical Engineer will serve as discipline design lead on projects that include an emphasis on receipt, storage, transfer, and issue of finished fuel products such as aviation jet fuel, diesel fuel, ethanol, and motor gasoline.

+ Projects include tanker truck receipt, marine vessel receipt, aboveground and underground transfer pipelines, aboveground and underground horizontal and vertical storage tanks, and aircraft and tanker truck issue systems. Projects will also include ground vehicle refueling systems such as fleet and retail service stations.

+ Electrical Engineer will work and coordinate with multidiscipline engineering teams including civil, structural, and mechanical engineers.

+ Position will include responsibility for development of discipline specific design execution plans for assigned projects. Position will be responsible for ensuring that all discipline specific contract requirements have been met.

+ Electrical Engineer will ensure that designs following established project quality procedures and that required quality control reviews and checks are completed and documented.

+ Electrical Engineer will assist in training and supervision of work of junior and entry-level engineers conducting fueling design work.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

+ 6 years of relevant experience

+ Familiar with Autocad, Revit, Microsoft Office

+ U.S. citizenship

+ Driver’s license required with a clean driving record

+ Experience in design of systems that use a PLC control

+ Experience with large and small motor controls

+ Ability to travel one week per month inside the US and internationally

+ Ability to pass background checks and gain access to military installations

**Additional Information**

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with SKM, AGi32

+ EIT/FE certification

+ Experience with commercial and/or Department of Defense fueling design projects. Other experience related to process design, waste water treatment, and/or heavy industry design projects will be considered as an alternate.

+ Experience with design of AFCEC, NAVFAC, and USACE fueling projects
