Physician Recruiter


Role Summary: Partners and consults with physician leaders and administration (including CEO, COO, service line VPs, and member hospital CEOs) to develop recruitment strategies for physicians and advanced practitioners for the System, including professional service agreement practices. Ensures strategies are aligned with organizational strategic goals. Proactively identifies areas of improvement regarding provider recruitment and makes recommendations for action. Manages multiple, complex, high level, priority searches with minimal supervision. Develops and cultivates relationships internally and externally that contribute to the accomplishment of strategic recruitment goals. Interviews provider applicants to identify top tier candidates for employment.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Nursing, or related field

Preferred Education: Master of Business Administration, Master of Healthcare Administration, or related field

Preferred Licensure:

  • Certified Fellow, Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR)
  • Certified Medical Staff Recruiter (CMSR)



Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years in physician recruitment or healthcare talent acquisition
  • Communicating with senior leaders both orally and in writing
  • Delivering effective presentations to diverse audiences
  • Making independent decisions achieving optimal results
  • Multi-tasking, managing multiple projects and meeting/exceeding deadlines



Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in physician recruitment
  • Recruiting hard-to-fill positions
  • Working in an integrated healthcare delivery system
  • Negotiating with third party recruiters
