Development Specialist- Physician Compensation
Supports the implementation of the strategic goals and objectives for Physician Services. Position manages the growth and expansion of business development for physician practice partnerships and acquisitions. Position oversees practice acquisitions, practice analysis and valuation and strategic planning for network expansion and growth, divestitures, physician mergers, employment and recruiting contracting process. Position coordinates, negotiates and manages the entire approval processes with all key personnel for final signature approvals. Consulting in areas of practice front office and back office operations and in ambulatory surgical centers occurs on contracted basis.
Our ideal candidate will have a MBA/MHA or an undergraduate degree in finance or business administration. This person will have experience in physician compensation evaluation, project management and a strong analytical background; prior knowledge in building proformas, and modeling projected physician compensation arrangments will be extremely helpful as this is a KPI of the role. This person will also be responsible for managing the evaluation workload for the NC Division.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires the following minimum requirements:
Ability to identify and implement practice acquisitions in new or expanding markets.
Ability to identify and implement practice divestitures.
Working knowledge of healthcare industry, track record of good fiscal management, business development experience and strong external presence, high energy, decisive leadership and ability to lead by example.
Excellent communication skills, and extensive working knowledge of business/contractual law, and a win-win approach to joint ventures.
Strategic thinker with high integrity and solid values.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in business or healthcare required.
Accounting/financial background and proficiency required.
Knowledge in Fair Market Valuation Theory is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible healthcare management experience with emphasis on physician relations in the areas of practice operations, hospital operations, mergers/acquisitions and divestiture.
Experience with MSOs/PHOs/IPAs, physician practice management or managed care organizations is also preferred.
