JOB SUMMARY: The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for the clinical operational and administrative oversight for all departments in the absence of the Managers and Directors. The Administrative Supervisor should round during his/her shift and respond to rapid responses and codes as a facilitator.This role is also responsible for providing 24-hour coordination of appropriate patient placement throughout the Mission Hospital System by facilitating patient placement to the right bed the first time in the right clinical service group. The Administrative Supervisors are responsible for working with the nursing unit leaders to ensure staffing levels are adequate and provide guidance to the Clinical Resource Coordinators for staffing. This should be achieved in an efficient and cost effective manner.The Administrative Supervisor should maintain current knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements to facilitate ongoing readiness and to achieve dept. survey compliance. Report survey readiness areas of opportunity/concern to the Department Manager and DirectorIn the event of patient/family or visitor dissatisfaction with the hospital experience the Administrative Supervisor will evaluate the situation and intervene when necessary to promote resolution of the problem and ensures patient/family satisfaction.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master's Degree
REQUIRED LICENSE: Must have and maintain current license as a registered nurse in North Carolina or one of the compact states as defined by North Carolina Board of Nursing, and must have and maintain current BCLS
PREFERRED LICENSE: Specialty Certification in Leadership from National Organization
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years nursing experience with 2 years of supervisory or management experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Critical Care nursing experience
