Assistant Medical Staff Coordinator

Under general supervision, provides administrative and functional assistance to the Medical Staff Services Department. Responsibilities include providing initial contact and assistance to visitors, physicians and employees that come into the MSS office, first line telephone answering, replying to physician reference letters, preparing Board letters and correspondence opening and appropriate distribution of departmental mail, ordering and maintaining departmental supplies, maintaining files and minutes manuals for ready access of information in accordance with established procedures, and other duties as assigned by the department director.

+ This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Inc. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of ARMC and AHMC Inc. The employee shall support AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC Inc initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to type accurately

Minimum of two years related experience in a hospital or managed care setting.

Knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications, WordPerfect and Micro-Med and/or other medical staff software.
