+ Support the Plant Controller in multiple aspects of the plant accounting functions.
+ Perform general accounting activities, which includes the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements. This includes balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules.
+ Prepare and record accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
+ Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and credit and collection duties.
+ Provide financial support to the business, which includes forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from the budget.
+ Exercise independent judgment to resolve assigned work under general direction.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
+ Broad understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices.
+ Strong working knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
+ 3+ years of related work experience.
+ Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
