**The Opportunity**

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division, where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

The Facilities Associate represents the most common entry point for this career level; works under direct supervision. Responsible for maintenance activities relating to equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

**What You’ll Work On**

+ Responsible for carrying basic repairs and maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment.

+ Conducts simple checks to ensure that machines are in good working conditions.

+ Performs general maintenance work and service automation fixtures.

+ Performs cubicle and office set up including installing computer monitors and monitor supports.

+ Perform office moves by assembling desks or cubicles or disassembling for maintenance purpose.

+ Assist facilities staff with PMs and routine maintenance.

+ Replacement of lightbulbs or drop in lighting fixtures.

+ Moving office items between buildings using company vehicle.

+ Help managing efficient use of storage spaces at various buildings on campus.

+ Assist with escorting vendors while on site and ensuring Abbott policies are complied with.

+ Utilize CMMS program to log and track work orders and complete tasks on time.

+ Develops knowledge and skills over time.

**Required Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

+ Proficient with tools.

+ Proficient with basic hand tools.
