General Statement of Duties :

Responsible for planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the performance improvement program for Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children's Hospital. Provides leadership and guidance for quality assessment and performance improvement across all departments. Works under the direction of the VP of Clinical Outcomes and with other senior leaders to achieve Quality goals for Methodist Hospital, Methodist Children's Hospital and the Methodist Healthcare System.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:

Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare discipline. Master's degree preferred. (Note: A related discipline may include Healthcare Administration or Business Administration)

Experience: Three to five years clinical and management experience in a healthcare setting at least two of which are related to performance improvement. Demonstrated leadership and management skills required. Experience in utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, clinical systems and databases required.
  1. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).

Preferred: CQI training and experience is preferred.

Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

1. Required: Current Texas licensure in a clinical discipline.

2. Preferred: Licensed as Registered Nurse; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
