Mission Children's Dental is currently seeking a Dentist to provide direct patient care to patients aged 6 months - 18 years in underserved communities across Western North Carolina. This is a growing practice of 5 Dentists which will be expanding to 7 Dentists working with an experienced team of dental assistants and support staff. The position will rotate between OR and ToothBus days (travels to outlying counties and provides full dental restoration on a mobile unit set up as a full dental office). Dental home to many children in Avery, Swain, Rutherford, Yancey, Mitchell, and Transylvania counties. Dentist must have experience in residency training in dental surgery under general anesthesia. The practice provides comprehensive treatment and education to children and their families throughout Western North Carolina in non-tradition settings, including: Job Highlights:
- Comprehensive dental rehabilitation in the Operatring Room (OR) of 4 hospitals under general anesthesia.
- Outpatient Care from 2 mobile dental offices, The ToothBus (Which are 2 40 ft RV's equipped as a traditional dental office on wheels).
- Elementary Schools and Health Departments.
- Involved in clinical protocol development, patient and community education and advocacy.
