Advanced Practitioner - HF/VAD Mission Hospital/Asheville Cardiology Associates Mission Hospital /Asheville Cardiology is seeking a heart failure Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in heart failure, MCS/VAD and/or cardiovascular critical care as an advanced practitioner.

Position Highlights
  • Inpatient rounding on the service with HF cardiology.

About our Programs

Mission's Heart Failure Program is a comprehensive system of care for the HF patient ranging from outpatient disease management to advanced cardiac therapies, including the implantation of left ventricular assist devices (LVAD). We have assembled a multi-disciplinary team of HF cardiologists, CV surgeons, VAD coordinators, HF advanced practitioners and pharmacists to support this effort and the HF patients of Western North Carolina.

Job Summary: Provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under a supervising physician in compliance with the North Carolina Medical Board or Board of Nursing.

Required Education: Completion of physician assistant or nurse practitioner program with appropriate certification exams.

Preferred Education: None

Required License: Have and maintain current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license Preferred License: BLS, ACLS for Adult Providers BLS, ACLS, & PALS for Pediatric Providers

Preferred Experience: Two years' experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner with a heart failure and/or pulmonary hypertension background; knowledge of automated patient record management systems; knowledge of dictation equipment.
