Job Summary: In addition to responsibilities of Sterile Processing Technician I: Responsible for decontamination, operation of steam and other forms of sterilization as well as all monitoring processes included with same. Use chemicals and appropriate PPE as established protocols and procedures. Maintains adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment. Perform multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of the unit as well as being responsible for customer service. Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of sterile supplies for daily operational functioning of CVOR, pulling supplies for scheduled and add-on cases, and supporting department operations as needed.
Required Education: High School graduate or GED
Preferred Education: Sterile Processing Training or Surgical Technician Training
Required License: SPD Technician Certification or Surgical Technician Certification
Preferred License: None
Required Experience: One year as SPD Technician or equivalent
Preferred Experience: Two years as SPD Technician
