Job Summary: Provides quality, cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic management and clinical interventions to improve patient care at Mission Health System. Provides, ensures and assists with pharmacotherapeutic and didactic instruction for pharmacy residents and UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy students on clerkships at Mission Health System. Provision of teaching, mentoring and student support as shared faculty with UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
The practice site will be an inpatient generalist position and will include service and scholarship responsibilities. The individual will be a shared faculty member with UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. The schedule will be Monday - Friday days along with every fourth weekend staffing in the inpatient pharmacy.
Required Education: (1) Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy (2) Completion of a PGY1 residency or two or more years of experience in specified type of pharmacy practice
Required License: Maintenance of a current and active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina or eligibility to become licensed in North Carolina within 60 days. *Preferred license is completion of Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (or specialty).
Required Experience: Current eligibility for a faculty appointment with UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy
Preferred Experience: (1) Completion of two or more years of specified practice experience with precepting responsibilities. (2) Demonstration of skills in leadership and scholarship. (3) Demonstration of prior experience or training using Cerner. (4) Demonstration of effective written and verbal communication and ability to multi-task and prioritize
