Job Description

The Spa Concierge assumes a pivotal role working as part of the spa therapy team to consistently provide the highest possible standard of guest service, creating a sensory journey for guests helping them to rest, relax and regain a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, greeting guests, providing locker set up of robes and sandals, beverages and checking in and checking out of guests.
  • Monitor daily schedules or business levels and communicate to direct report for adjustments.
  • Remain updated on daily report events and resort map to assist guests.
  • Ensure pre-selling, up-selling and cross-selling of services to each and every guest.
  • Ability to open, close and work closely with cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure all guest challenges are resolved in a timely manner and management is made aware of situation.
  • Relay with confidence both product and service benefits to guests and assist with closing of retail sales.
  • Responsible for escorting guests to the locker room, relaxation area and enlightening them on their services.
  • Generate a minimum of $25 per day in retail product sales.
  • Work closely with Spa Supervisor on various sales objectives as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of spa facility, locker room and fitness center.

  • Perform daily general cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in the spa facility and fitness center.
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing of the sauna, steam room and whirlpool areas and their daily sanitation.
  • Maintain bathrooms and restock supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all beverages, linens and towels are always clean, prepared and well stocked.
  • Overall ability to be cross-trained in both reception desk and locker room duties as determined.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a customer oriented environment with sales
  • Friendly, congenial personality with exemplary guest service skills
  • Computer literate with spa scheduling program, preferably SpaSoft
  • Must possess excellent listening and verbal skills
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Flexible and cooperative
  • Self motivated with a "can do" positive attitude
  • Effective communicator
