Responsibilities

Description
  • Event planning and detailing for definite Catering events including but not limited to Weddings, Corporate Meetings, Birthday Parties and Galas
  • Communication with clients to plan all needs including but not limited to arrival/departure needs, parking details, meeting set up needs, food and beverage needs as well as billing detail.
  • Coordination with outside vendors.
  • Ability to communicate all event details to the Operational departments in the hotel correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Maximize Catering revenues wherever possible by focusing on upselling and maintaining check averages.
  • Ability to customize menus based on clients' needs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Catering and Convention Services.


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years hotel sales/catering experience and/or successful completion of Omni LID program.
  • Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.
  • Command of the English language both written and verbal, with the ability to demonstrate warmth and empathy when engaging with others.
  • Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook. Delphi experience preferred.
  • The ability to delegate, effectively train and coach
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
