Job Description

Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is a gender-separate treatment program serving 14-17-year-old male and female adolescents and their families. Our facility sits on a 94-acre working horse farm in Ellenboro, NC to help promote growth, reflection, and healing for those experiencing the result of trauma, mental health issues, and substance abuse.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and execution of an academic program that is fully integrated with Red Oak Recovery’s clinical program
  • Assist with continuing client’s educational plan while at Red Oak Recovery
  • Work closely with client’s school and coordinate academic plan as needed
  • Operate the school program in compliance with all applicable state and local regulations/standards
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned
  • Maintain complete confidentiality

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • This person must be 21 years or older
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • Hold current North Carolina teaching license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Position Type/Expected Work Hours

This is a full time position. days and hours of work are Monday Through Friday 8:30-5:00. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
