About Mission Health System Emergency Services:
Mission Health boasts a progressive, innovative and highly advanced EMS system that encompasses three county-based 911 EMS units, an in-house Air Medical team, robust and growing Regional Transport Services, Behavioral Transport Services, Telecommunications, Regional Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Relief in addition to six Emergency Departments serving 19 counties in Western North Carolina. We partner with AB-Tech to host the UMBC EMTPCC program as well as provide various pathways to leadership development and educational opportunities for our valuable staff.

Job Summary: Performs critical life support patient care, advanced airway management and transport management. Assumes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of emergency vehicles. This unit runs 911 calls and patient transport as needed.
Required Education: EMS Certificate with Community College or Associate of Science in EMS. Must complete and maintain continuing education or re-certification class as required by NC OEMS.
Preferred Education: Bachelors in EMS
Required License: North Carolina EMT-P certification. North Carolina drivers license and must meet insurance guidelines. Must obtain ITLS or PHTLS, BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP within one year of employment. Must have a valid NC driver's license or procure one within 30 days of employment unless an out-of-state commuter, at least two years of satisfactory driving experience and be at least 25 years of age to meet the Mission Health established
Preferred License: National Registry, UMBC CCEMT-P.
Required Experience: None.
Preferred Experience: One year of full time active pre-hospital care or equivalent.
