Job Description

The Private & Catering Event Coordinator, is responsible for soliciting and securing groups in 676 Restaurant & Bar. The Private & Catering Event Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring booked Events are in compliance with property policy while maintaining high standards of quality and service. Responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests. Event Coordinator will also assist Catering/ Group Sales Managers with the sales and event phase.

Responsibilities

  • Solicitation of direct-selling in the Social Catering market.
  • Event planning and detailing for booked events & will assist with detailing the Catering Sales Events
  • Maximize Catering revenues wherever possible. Communication of function-arrangement to all responsible hotel departments.
  • Communication with clients prior to events to initiate, negotiate, and close on contracts for all catered functions.
  • Creation of profitable menus and distribution of client expectations to Food & Beverage Departments.
  • Coordinate Catering support services (flowers, entertainment, decoration, A/V, etc.) to provide complete client satisfaction.
  • Physically double-check all function arrangements against specifications of client. Correct where necessary.
  • Client contract and effective communication to ensure repeat bookings.
  • Foster strong relationships with the local wedding planning industry
  • Update and increase client prospects through active prospecting
  • Maximize revenues for the hotel through up-selling techniques.
  • Schedules work load to meet deadlines of all managers.
  • Creates proposals and contracts for private events and managers
  • Arranges appointment for managers


Qualifications

•Must be able to work alone as well as work well with others.
•Must have good communication skills.
•Must be extremely computer savvy (Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, Express, Excel).
•Previous knowledge of Delphi, Opera and Synergy preferred.
•Must have good organizational skills.
