Job Description

To work closely with the Front Office Manager and night staff to ensure maximum Front Office operating efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure registration cards are completed
  • Ensure all needed reports are run
  • Prepare thoroughly for stand-up meetings
  • Assist in continued training and development with all associates, knowing and understanding each role within the department
  • Communicate with all department managers on continuing basis, especially the communication with Night Audit each evening/morning
  • Handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any complaints
  • Be very familiar with the hotel computer system for training maintenance and trouble shooting (including Synergy, Epitome and Go Concierge)
  • Complete weekly supply inventories to ensure adequate pars of necessary items
  • Complete rate discrepancy report and make needed changes
  • Block/assign applicable arrivals for the following day; i.e. V.I.P.'s, ESP's, Special Requests, etc in absence of rooms controller
  • Control rooms inventories ensuring to never exceed (-10) in any room type
  • Complete check-out with balance report
  • Complete hotel ledger daily
  • Adhere to all SOPs of the Front Office and appropriate areas of responsibilities
  • Assure knowledge and training of Marketing Programs of company and hotel
  • Complete month end accounting procedures
  • Understand emergency procedures and fire panel training
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management
  • Must adhere to hotel privacy standards per corporate policies
  • Drive hotel shuttle & valet vehicles as defined by the needs of the hotel and/or in absence of guest service team members
  • Participates and assist in Local Market Leadership events
  • Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) and Lobby Leader program
  • Must be able to run/walk up 14 flights of stairs in emergency situations
  • Must be able to run/walk up 14 flights of stairs in emergency situations
  • May be required to work 7-10 days consecutively as defined by the needs of the hotel
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Standing/walking 8+ hours per day


Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory hotel experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous Hotel experience required
  • Customer service oriented, ability to multi-task, detail orientation, and excellent organizational skills needed
  • Four year college degree preferred, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems and related computer programs
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license, have a clean driving record, and pass a drug screen
  • Must be able to work approximately 50 hours per week, flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to maintain a 4-diamond level of service
