POSITION SUMMARY: (brief summary statement of major functions)
Provides safe and effective care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing and medical process. Is responsible and accountable for a broad range of services including health promotion, maintenance, prevention of illness and disability, diagnosis and management of common acute illness, guidance and counseling and advocacy within the larger health care system. Maintains oversight of ancillary personnel for consistent patient care and quality outcomes. Consults with the physician and/or client when appropriate.
