Accepts responsibility for the day to day operations of the department.
Develops, implements, and reviews the Utilization Management Plan annually
Accepts responsibility for coordinating and facilitating multiple resources, internal and external, into a unique and single approach to care coordination for each patient assigned case management services.\
Identifies and implements processes that support and promote efficient patient throughput across the healthcare continuum resulting in optimal clinical outcomes, appropriate utilization of resources, and appropriate and accurate reimbursement.
Provides leadership, communication, and supervision to the department staff to ensure HCA and facility strategy is operationalized.
RN with current state licensure, BSN preferred
Five years Nursing Case Management experience; Two years Director or Supervisor experience preferred
Certification in Case Management, Nursing, or Utilization Review preferred
Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships
Ability to communicate effectively in oral, written and electronic formats
Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking abilities with pro-active decision-making, problem solving and negotiation skills
BLS â€" American Heart Association â€" required
CPI required within 60 days of hire and/or transfer
