Job Summary: Under the direction of the licensed nurse, performs basic nursing care and personal care activities to patients according to their scope of practice, identified by the North Carolina Nurse Aide I or II Registry; unless the skill or task is not allowed for practice by a Certified Nursing Assistant at Mission Hospitals.

Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Comparable experience and skills also considered.

Preferred Education: None

Required License: Must have and maintain current listing with North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry as CNA I and if NA II must maintain licensure with North Carolina Board of Nursing for Nursing Assistant II. Must have and maintain current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification.

Preferred License: None

Required Experience: Previous experience in health care environment. Documented competency for CNA+ 4 skills

Preferred Experience: Hospital or Skilled Nursing Facility
