Job Description

Project Manager Nursing Services is accountable for leading, facilitating, planning and implementing complex transformational projects for Mission Hospital Nursing Services with high consideration for translation and impact across all system nursing services. Working in collaboration with key stakeholders, the Project Manager for Nursing Services utilizes evidence-based practice, standards of care, current research and innovative technologies to enhance quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency of patient care delivery. Responsible for project design and execution that aligns with key organizational and nursing strategies/goals and results in improved outcomes as well as patient, family and caregiver experience. Drives transformational change that ensures that patient, clinical staff and family needs remainhighest priority.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved with CNO System Council approval.

Preferred Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), MHA, MBA or other related graduate degree.Required License/

Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Health Care ProviderPreferred License/

Preferred Certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Required Experience: Minimum of five years clinical nursing practice required with two years of project management experience in a healthcare setting of comparable size and complexity. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and facilitate completion of complex projects.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, (including Visio) Share Point, advanced computer literacy and skills.

Preferred Experience: Seven years' experience in clinical nursing practice with additional combined experience in Project Management and/or Resource Analysis.
