Job Summary: Directs, collaborates and assists Managers within SURGICAL SERVICES in initiating and monitoring quality efforts and clinical outcomes. Participates in the definition and implementation of performance metrics to review initiative effectiveness. Evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards and organizational standards. Works across the division spectrum. Collaborates closely with the Performance Improvement department.

Required Education: BSN with Master's Degree Nursing or Related Field; those presently in the role as of July 1, 2011 must complete MS by December 31, 2021; persons applying to the role must complete the Master's requirement within three years of start date. National Certification.

Preferred Education: Master's degree in Nursing or related field. At least one degree must be in Nursing (either Bachelors or Masters).

Required License: RN in North Carolina or compact state or eligible.

Preferred License: None

Required Experience: 5 years of experience in nursing leadership or a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Preferred Experience: peri-op surgical experience
