JOB SUMMARY: A Neurodiagnostic Technologist II performs neurodiagnostic procedures (EEG, LTM- ICU and EMU, NCV, Carotids), according to facility policy and procedures. The technologist must be able to obtain quality, interpretable recordings and provide tech impression for study types within their modality of expertise. Procedures include: patient setup, electrode placement, equipment troubleshooting, and pattern recognition. Required to perform duties independently, demonstrate competencies yearly and rotate on call with the tech. team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Registry in one area of expertise: American Board of Registry of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (R. EEG T., R. EP T.) American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Medicine (CNCT)

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program, or Associates Degree in related healthcare field with 6 months experience.

REQUIRED LICENSE: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: At least one year of employment in Neurodiagnostics

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 or more years of employment in Neurodiagnostics
