Role Summary: Under the direction of Director- Nursing Procedural and Surgical Services, the Sterile Processing Regional Manager will assist in the operation of the department by exhibiting leadership in carrying out the Mission, Goals and Objectives of the hospital, practices and other areas as defined by the health system focusing on the patient, physician, team members and customers. Plan, direct and coordinate activities involved in the acquisition, decontamination, storage, assembly, cleaning and sterilization of medical, surgical and related supplies, materials and equipment utilized in the care and treatment of patients and the operation of Mission Health System. Insures that customer service levels are exceptional and continually directs improvements for sterile processing. Coordinates across the System the intake and output of all items requiring sterile processing services. Fosters an environment of teamwork, engagement, best practices and professional growth among departmental and regional team members.Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Science, Process Engineering or equivalent setting

Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Required License: BCLS required; Sterile Processing Technician Certification, Sterile Processing Manager Certification

Required Experience: 5 years of experience in sterile processing, operating rooms or similar setting, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity, acquired knowledge of decontamination, and sterilization sciences, case cart systems and medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
