Job Description

SUMMARY To achieve the highest quality of personable, good and friendly service, yet never overly familiar. Adhere to all rules, regulations, uniform codes, standards and philosophies of the hotel.

Responsibilities

E SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Proof your station. Check for polished silverware, neatness of tables, check for linen spots, holes and placement. Re-set if necessary.

  1. Maintain knowledge of menu items and preparation as well as specials and '86' items.

  1. Responsible for knowledge of wine list and the service of wine.

  1. Sell and up-sell items to increase revenue for the restaurant.

  1. Know setting guidelines, table numbers and overall dining room procedures.

  1. Responsible for knowledge of the Abacus and all checks opened in your server number.

  1. Take the customers order, serve the courses accordingly and promptly tender payment of check. Always say farewell to customers as they leave.

  1. Do any side duties delegated by the Lead Server or Manager on Duty.

  1. Refer to our guests by name whenever possible.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in fine dining restaurant as a food server.
Must be able to work all weekends and all holidays.
