Job Description
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
My client is one of the top engineering companies in Rockford and is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their team. This company is known for treating its employees well and boasts a hard working, but laid back atmosphere with a great group of co-workers. If you have some experience in machine design and a bachelors in engineering this position could be for you. The pay will be anywhere from $60,000 - $75,000 with possible room for negotiation. My client is open to temp to hire as well as direct hire.
Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Create concept drawings for sales team using AutoCAD
- Create project schedules
- Design and detail industrial machinery
- Specify materials
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and failures
Mechanical Design Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Familiar with GD&T
- 5+ years of experience strongly preferred
