Job Description

A major company is in need of assemblers to assemble parts into complete units under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor. Coordinate workflow and perform assembly of special equipment as required, repair defective equipment, and the repair of returned goods. Work with lead personnel to achieve all manufacturing objectives.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Examine production instructions such as blueprints, process instructions, setup instructions, to determine what products to make.
2. Carefully examine equipment for proper assembly and appearance.
3. Inspect parts and assemblies, use precision measuring instruments, work moving parts to assure proper operation. Work closely with Quality Control when Assembly problems arise.
4. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance. Notify Maintenance promptly of any needed repairs or potential problems.
5. Participate as a team member in developing and implementing process and product improvement ideas.
6. Assist in training other workers on performing assigned tasks. Learn to perform tasks and upgrade skills to assist in maintaining the flow of products.
7. Complete required production records accurately and on a timely basis.
8. Keep assigned work area neat and clean and lubricate and clean assigned equipment to keep it in good condition.
9. Other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Normal manufacturing facility conditions with exposure to temperature, humidity, dust, and fume changes. Lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent twisting, bending, standing, and squatting required. Use of protective clothing and equipment; exposure to chemicals, solvents, and greases. Visual and manual dexterity ability required to properly perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Knowledge and Skill Qualifications:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a temp to permanent position and the pay is $11.50/hr an hour to start. Raise to $12/hr if hired. Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
