Production Worker

You are applying with Express Employment for an immediate opening - a local metal manufacturer has an immediate need for Two Production Associates to support production of custom aluminum extrusions used in ceiling perimeter systems by working in a team work cell to visually inspect, surface touch up, clean, bag and box to prepare pallets for shipping. (Santa Fe Springs, CA)

We are offering shift M-F 6am-2:30pm

Pay: $13 / Hour

Production Associate ( Santa Fe Springs , CA) Job Description:

• Wipe completed aluminum extrusion with a cleaning pad/rag soaked with cleaning solution/alcohol/acetone.
• Visually inspect and spot-paint blemishes and surface defects with paint pen/brush/aerosol.
• Place extrusion/installation parts in plastic bag.
• Place bagged material in box according to packing instructions, tape box shut and properly place on pallet.
• Continuously keep work area and floor clean and orderly.
• Other miscellaneous assembly line or general production duties as assigned.

Production Associate ( Santa Fe Springs , CA) Job Requirements/Expectations:

• Minimum 6 months- 1 year of recent production experience that includes duties listed above.
• Safely lift up to 40lbs. independently
• Work safely by demonstrating a commitment to safety, understand and follow safety instructions, training and procedures and report safety concerns right away.
• Report for work on time every day and complete a full shift.
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions
• Work well within assigned team/work cell.
• Contribute positively to achieve daily production goals.
• Flexible/adaptable to assignment changes, will jump in when help is needed and learn new things.
• Work overtime as needed
• Experience in fast-paced, high performance manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 6s, Six Sigma preferred.
