The Case Management AVP Business Technology collaborates with the Case Management VP and AVPs to define and execute the technology strategies for the HCAâ€™s Case Management function. The Case Management AVP will establish and provide oversight to the dedicated technology resources to meet the organization's goals. This position concentrates on managing the technical and functional implementation of all systems utilized by hospital Case Managers. This role requires leadership savvy to orchestrate and synch various network and computing resources as well as its people to achieve the organizationâ€™s overall Case Management objectives. The Case Management AVP provides overall direction, support and accountability for HCAâ€™s use of and integration with Midas and nH Discharge. This individual must possess strategic vision, excellent communication skills, proven facilitation skills, proven motivational capabilities, have an executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals.
â€¢Develops and executes the technology strategic plan for the Case Management organization.
â€¢Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet the specific challenges of hospital case management.
â€¢Recommends and plans comprehensive integration strategy to ensure Midas is aligned with each facilityâ€™s EMR.
â€¢Evaluates and implements IT procedures and software with maximum efficiency and cost containment in support of standardization.
â€¢Continues development and support of custom screens and fields within Midas.
â€¢Stays abreast of HCA IT&S strategy and direction to ensure alignment of departmental IT strategy as well as providing direction concerning more finite goals and strategies to best support the case management objectives.
â€¢Contributes continued subject matter expertise, support and knowledge to the Midas worklist management and other case management focused workflows.
â€¢Ensures newly acquired facilities are fully integrated with HCAâ€™s portfolio of Case Management systems.
â€¢Directs implementation and execution of new/upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
â€¢Strategizes with Case Management leadership on system enhancements and priorities in order to support Case Management goals and priorities.
â€¢Ensures users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service.
â€¢Provides technology expertise specific to ongoing and planned projects as well as facilitating/supporting the standardization of processes and practices
Bachelorâ€™s degree required; Masterâ€™s degree preferred.
10 years healthcare MIS or ITS experience.
Minimum of 5 years management experience.
Experience with large-scale system implementations preferred.
Superior interpersonal skills at the executive level and the ability to work within a highly matrix environment is a must.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
