The EKG Tech performs noninvasive cardiac procedures including EKG’s, GXT’s, and stress tests. Completes documentation of all procedures and prepares EKG’s for Physician reading. Responsible for downloading and retrieving EKG’s from MUSE EKG management system. Responds to all Code III, Code Blue, and Trauma alerts. Works varying assignments and adapts to schedule changes as needed including call shifts and call back for procedures. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior. This position is required to work 8 hour shifts weekdays between the hours of 6:00 am to 7:00 pm and rotating weekends from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical education is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: Previous EKG or Stress Lab experience preferred, but can train internally. EKG Certification within a year.
