Job Summary
Assists with budget preparations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provides organizational support for reporting and other requirements necessary to manage Sponsored Programs either within Sponsored Programs Administration, a unit of the CHS Finance Division dedicated to serving the Sponsored Programs community of CHS, or within the clinical or programmatic department responsible for the Sponsored Program.

Essential Functions
  • Provide administrative support for pre-award and post-award contracts process.
  • Learn and adapt to changing technologies related to management of sponsored programs.
  • Read, analyze and interpret sponsored program related documentation i.e. guidelines, contracts, and funding documents.
  • Act as liaison when needed to establish/maintain relationships with various teammates, principal investigators/program directors, and sponsoring agencies.
  • Identify and negotiate budgetary and contractual terms and conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with development of, and adherence to, policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education activities to remain current on applicable guidelines and regulations.
Physical Requirements
Work requires frequent walking, standing and prolonged sitting. Work requires lifting up to 15 pounds.

Education, Experience and Certifications
Minimum 1 year of related experience. 4-year degree from accredited college or university. Knowledge of basic administrative concepts of sponsored program administration.
