Job Summary
This position is in the Atrium Musculoskeletal Institute.  This role will work closely with faculty, learners of all levels, and the administrative team on quality improvement projects and research studies across the Institute. 

Essential Functions
 
 
  • Work with faculty, fellows, and residents to define project scope, and elicit and analyze data and database design requirements
  • Leads the creation, review, and validation of complex, custom datasets specific to the project
  • Experience with REDCap, Excel, and statistical analysis packages (eg, SAS, Stata, SPSS)
  • Ability to build, manage, and aggregate databases across platforms
  • Prepares deliverables for review and facilitates data discussion and interpretation
  • Design and prepare standard and ad hoc reports and summaries for statistical analysis
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Coordinate project delivery by assisting with design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate data designs and validate proposed solutions
  • Must be able to clearly articulate and document project scope and design requirements to the customer and project teams
  • Must be able to identify and proactively resolve issues with existing a created databases and structures
  • Must possess strong communication skills to effectively manage customer relationships, change management, and drive satisfaction with research customer base
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management, and senior leadership
  • Exceptional customer service skills to leadership, faculty, and learners is essential in this position
  • Must possess ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
  • Ensures successful completion of assigned projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance within CHS standards.

 
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift objects that weigh up to 35 lbs. This position is subject to high-level visibility through verbal and written communications with senior hospital management, associated project deadlines, personnel evaluation, and counseling. Must be available for on-call support on a regular basis. Due to project requirements, overtime will be required, as needed.

Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics/Analytics, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry preferred.  The ideal candidate should be highly proficient with a variety of information systems technologies including relational-databases, programming languages (SQL, Business Intelligence, SAS) as well as general desktop applications (MS Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point).
