Job Description


This position exists to manage the operations of the Legislative Audit Committee (LAC) and is the interface between various internal and external parties and the LAC. This position also serves as the Executive Administrator to the State Auditor, a constitutionally created office.

The position directly supports and assists with complex matters that further the OSA's mission and have statewide legal importance. This position is the technical expert in the processes of the Office of the State Auditor and uses this expertise to respond to a variety of general and technical inquiries related to these processes from internal and external stakeholders. Answers must be thoroughly researched, timely, and accurate.

This position also serves as a technical expert in all of the following: determining the timing/ content of and maintaining public hearing and noticing requirements; deciding the content of LAC hearing minutes; maintenance of public records related to Legislative Audit Committee activities; and the application of all laws and rules affecting committee operations. The position interacts with legislators, executive officials, media, and citizens and is recognized statewide as an expert with respect to the functions of the Legislative Audit Committee and operations of the Office of the State Auditor. The management of the interface between the Office of the State Auditor and Legislative Audit Committee is complex, as the political environment is constantly changing.
