I. Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor, performs EEGs in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units.

  1. Position Requirements

    A.Licensure/Certification/Registration: ABRET EEGCertification

    Current BLS certification through American Heart Association required

    B.Education: Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training. Some college level work is preferable.

    C.Experience: 1 year minimum experience as an EEG Tech

  2. Degree of Supervision Required: Minimal â€" individual proceed on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by immediate supervisor.

  3. Orientation Period : 90 days
