We are a level 3 trauma and emergency center.

The role of the Clinical Supervisor is to assist the Director of Emergency Services with the operations of the department. He/she ensures patient care is provided according to Hospital and unit specific policies and procedures. The Clinical Supervisor oversees and directs the staff nurses to insure appropriate staffing of qualified and competent personnel are available to provide care to our patients and families. The Clinical Supervisor assists with orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department(s). The Clinical Supervisor assists the Director with interviewing and selection, retention, disciplinary actions, terminations and yearly evaluations of department employees in conjunction with the Director or/ and Human Resources. He/ she provide input to the director regarding space/equipment recommendations, budgetary needs, and other resources needed by the department.The Clinical Supervisor works with unit schedulers to insure accuracy of monthly schedules and integrity of Facility Scheduler.Updates departmental polices as needed to reflect evidence based care and educates staff on changes.Confirms with coordinators daily unit checks (i.e. warmer temps, Pyxis, code cart and equipment checks etc.) are completed as required by state/federal and regulatory bodies.Performs/or assigns monthly medical record reviews as well as department audits as directed by the Director of Emergency Department.Assists with educating staff in correct documentation processes.
The Clinical Supervisor demonstrates and supports service excellence strategies and culture. Demonstrates professionalism at all times. Other duties as assigned.
The Clinical Supervisor will attend leadership trainings as assigned.
The Clinical Supervisor will help ensure compliance with the ED Playbook Tactics and all initiative roll outs.
The Clinical Supervisor will assist Director with nurse leader and employee rounding.
The Clinical Supervisor will assist the Director with any other duties as assigned.

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
Licensure/ Certifications:
  • Must hold a current license from the Georgia Board of Nursing. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), (Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider card) required.

  • Minimum of three years in ER nursing and at least one year ER charge nurse experience
