The Director of Infection Prevention coordinates the hospital's Infection Control program in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies as well as the established policies, procedures and standards of care. Provides surveillance, detection, identification and control of infectious/communicable diseases within the hospital. Knowledge in epidemiological principles and infectious disease. Knowledge in sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices. Designs and presents continuing education programs.
Bachelorâ€™s degree required
Three to five years of experience as Infection Control Practitioner
Current RN licensure or Medical Technologist license; Certification in Infection Control or eligible to take exam in 1 year
