Job Description


Salary: $55k to $65k per year

Our client is the industry leader in the microdermabrasion market, manufacturing superior medical devices and skin care products.

The Production Supervisor will supervise a team of technicians performing diagnostics, servicing, repair and quality control of vacuum-based electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and components on our proprietary medical devices. Under the direction of the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor will be charged with the continual improvement of the team providing day-to-day production of electromechanical FDA-regulated devices and associated assemblies.

The successful candidate will exhibit self-motivation to maximize the Daily Production efforts in performing the set-up, tooling, calibration, tuning, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Additionally, he or she will identify and assist in developing and refining test specifications, methods and procedures from engineering drawings and diagrams.

This candidate will ultimately assure our client's high-quality standards, in compliance with U.S. and International standards are maintained.

In addition to technical acumen, proven leadership and experience in providing customer technical support are required. This position requires interaction with customers to assure their needs are met in a timely manner to ensure their continued satisfaction with the level of service they receive.

DUTIES:
  1. Supervise direct reports in performing diagnostics, service and quality control using various mechanical and electronic tools.
  2. Reach manufacturing goals by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising results.
  3. Initiate, coordinate and enforce systems, written policies and prescribed procedures.
  4. Provide a daily production schedule to achieve the Daily Productions Division's goals.
  5. Maintain the work flow by monitoring steps of the manufacturing process, setting process variables, observing controls and monitoring resources.
  6. Record and review relevant data using manual and/or computer-generated techniques.
  7. Take control of refined procedures to allow for data generation and analysis of KPIs.
  8. Supervise QC processes. Maintain a high level of attention to detail in identifying potential discrepancies in product, performing root cause analysis, initiating corrective actions and pursuing long-term solutions.
  9. Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment by educating and directing technicians on the use of all equipment and resources. Maintain compliance with established FDA-regulated cGMPs, policies and procedures. Perform and document periodic tool calibration.
  10. Perform all tasks necessary to provide technical servicing of vacuum-based mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and systems components, assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  11. Coach, counsel and discipline performance and attendance of technicians, including periodic counseling with direct reports to provide performance feedback.
  12. Supervise and continually refine the emerging 24/7 Tier 2 Technical Support Program. Arrange simulated training sessions to hone each technician's troubleshooting acumen while concurrently upgrading this system to best meet customers' needs.
  13. Liaison with vendors and coordinate internally to manage the inventory planning and forecasting needs to minimize disruption and failure modes of devices and their components.

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. 7+ years Mechanical, Electrical and/or related Product Manufacturing.
  2. 3+ year's supervisory experience.
  3. 2+ year's technical customer support.
  4. Experience in a highly organized leadership role with system-level manufacturing and testing.
  5. Competence in electromechanical assembly, test methodologies and electronic troubleshooting.
  6. Strong focus on product quality, timeliness and operational safety.
  7. Moderately proficient computer skills allowing the candidate to enter electronic data into customer documents, online databases and electronic logs. NetSuite and Salesforce ERP experience a plus.
  8. Moderate technical writing skills to originate work instructions and SOPs to clearly and concisely prescribe the best course of repeatable action.
  9. Ability to foster a collaborative environment with excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

This position pays between $55,000.00 and $65,000.00 per year.

HOURS

Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
