Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the fixed asset and project accounting processes including reporting. The position is responsible for interpreting and applying the Company's fixed asset policies and providing support to the company's tax departments.


  • Researches and analyzes project activity and detail for proper accounting treatment.
  • Communicates with project managers to get good understanding of scope of the projects. Translates that into projected asset categorization in accordance with company policy.
  • Reconciles the fixed asset sub ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger and performs month end closing procedures.
  • Serves as a point of contact for fixed asset related analysis and inquiries.
  • Responsible for the accounting for acquired assets and dispositions.
  • Reviews and updates the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
  • Assist Company's capital project department to track the compilation of project costs into the fixed asset accounts.
  • Prepares audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
  • Special projects as required.


  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with fixed asset/project related experience required.
  • Candidate must be a deadline focused, organized, detail oriented, self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall PC proficiency are a must.
  • Ability to work independently and execute sound judgement are a must.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Oracle (or other ERP) Projects and/or Fixed Assets modules
  • Oracle (or other ERP) General Ledger
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
