Environmental Service Technician II (Floor Tech)

Texas Orthopedic Hospital is currently looking for an Environmental Service Technician II (Floor Tech).

Responsibilities:
  • To perform a variety of cleaning functions in all areas of the building, both patient & non-patient care areas. Responds to customer needs in a timely & courteous manner. Cleans assigned areas using the 7 Step cleaning method, using proper cleaning solutions & equipment safety. To provide the highest cleaning standards of environmental sanitation possible for the health & welfare of patients, visitors & fellow employees. May be called upon to relief supervise. May interact with all departments as well as hospital employees, patients, visitors & the medical staff.
  • Position Responsibilities include: Linen deliveries to all floors, trash & soiled linen pickups throughout the hospital, scrubbing, stripping & refinishing floors, carpet cleaning, dust mopping, wet mopping, cubical cleaning, some outside cleaning and moving. Demonstrates knowledge of proper care & cleaning of all hard surface floors & proper carpet cleaning techniques. Ensures all assigned areas are clean & orderly, free from dust, clutter, or trash & contaminations from infectious materials with efficiency for patient satisfaction. Uses good safety practices according to hospital policies. Responsible for reporting any maintenance or unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Participates in monthly department meetings


Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate and follow instructions required.
  • Must be able to read and write effectively and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Previous experience in hospital environmental services preferred.
