Scheduled to open early 2018, the luxurious Omni property will be a full-service hotel and serve as a cornerstone of the mixed-use community adjacent to SunTrust Park, future home of the Atlanta Braves. The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta will feature 16 floors, approximately 264 guest rooms including 28 suites, over 12,000 square feet of meeting space, an elevated pool deck and bar overlooking the ballpark, and a signature restaurant.

Located on the 60-acre mixed-use development site, at the northwest intersection of I-75 and I-285 at Cobb Parkway, the new community will redefine the traditional model of "live, work, play" into a "play, work, stay" destination. The community will also feature residences and premier office space, an entertainment venue, retail and a variety of dining options."

Job Description

The F&B Administrative Asistant will provide clerical and administrative assistance to the Restaurant General Manager and the Executive Chef. The F&B Administrative Assistant will answer all incoming telephone calls as it relates to the F&B Department. The candidate will be responsible for ordering all supplies and processing AP invoices for different vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Answers office phone greeting internal and external guest.
  • Check voicemails, e-mails and faxes and follow up accordingly.
  • Process mail for Food and Beverage Director and Managers.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Fax copy and distribute as needed.
  • Compose and type correspondence for F&B Director as needed.
  • Process AP invoices for different vendors.
  • Coordinate and sign up new F&B employees for serve-safe certification.
  • Pro-active in gaining knowledge and skills in technological and educational advances for the continued development and advancement applicable to the company/department and staff.


Qualifications

  • Muust be able to work alone as well as work well with others.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication, written, customer service, and computer skills.
  • Must be organized, have a willingness to learn and possess a positive attitude.
  • Previous hotel experience in an administrative role is preferred as well as some college preferred.
  • Must be extremely computer savvy (Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, Express, Excel).
  • Previous management expereince in either Front of House or Back of House, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year expereince in hospitality, preferred.
  • Individual will be expected to meet deadlines, work with little supervision and be flexible to handle interruptions.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must have significant mobility of arms and hands. Must be able to bend, squat and push, pull and lift up to 25-30 pounds. Must be able to see, hear and communicate verbally in writing.
