Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: The Golf Shop Attendant will be responsible for giving the highest guest service, maintaining the golf shop in an appealing manner, and creating a positive atmosphere while dealing with customers, golfers, and fellow associates.


  • Enthusiastic greeting of guests (by name if possible)
  • Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner
  • Utilize the Micros POS system (Book Reservations, Sales of Merchandise, Checking in Players etc.)
  • Maintain working knowledge of the resort and club operations including Season Pass Rules and Regulations
  • Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
  • Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournaments, and services which the Director of Golf and Assistant Professional deems necessary.
  • Assist in presentation of golf shop
  • Assist Retail Manager with any inventory counts.
  • Maintain and balance daily cash register.
  • Display conduct in an appropriate manner at all times in accordance with the Omni Hotels

  • Must be able to operate the POS and radio communication
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with valet and bell staff
  • Must be knowledgeable about bike and fishing rentals

  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Assist in other departments as needed

ENVIRONMENT: Interior of Golf shop, in normal office conditions, mainly behind the counter, with limited travel within the hotel.


QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • Knowledge of property and surrounding area
