Job Description

The Banquet Cook is responsible for ensuring all prep items are prepared and stored to specifications for Banquet Events.


  • Control quality and consistency of all food served.
  • Insure banquet production is completed according to standards.
  • Insure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis.
  • Assist in controlling food cost.
  • Required to learn all menu items produced in immediate area.
  • Finished assigned work on prep sheet.
  • To assist in production of all banquet and catering tasks.
  • Label date and rotate all items daily / Assist in compliance of all Health Department Standards.
  • Open communication with Banquets to ensure guest satisfactions.
  • Assist with daily production of associate cafeteria meals, balancing flavor, quality, and cost controls.


  • Must be able to stand, lift, push and pull for 8-10 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures
  • Must be able to bend, reach and twist
  • Must live within 50 miles of the hotel
  • Must have previous culinary experience
  • Must have experience working in a fast paced kitchen, preferably in a luxury hotel
