General Statement of Duties:

The Cardiac Cath Lab Director provides leadership and overall responsibility for the functions of assigned clinical patient care/procedural units to include Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs. Directs 24/7 operations with full accountability. Ensures proper inventory supplies, scheduling of personnel, maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, staff development, and is an effective physician liaison.

Education and Experience :

ONE of the following:
  • A. Bachelor's degree AND 2 years management experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related area
  • B. High school diploma or GED and ONE of the following:
    • i. 4 years of Cardiac Cath Lab management experience or
    • ii. A combination of 4 years post high school education and Cardiac Cath Lab management experience.
  • Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations
    • Required: ONE of the following:
      • A. Have or obtain RCIS Certificate within 6 months of hire date
      • B. License to practice professional registered nursing in the state of Texas
