Position: Consumer Data Analyst
Reports to: Business Intelligence Manager, dotted line reporting to EVP/Consumer Banking Executive
Salary Grade: 10
FLSA designation: Non-exempt
Location: 71 North Market Street, Asheville NC 28801 AND 1900 Ridgefield Bld. Asheville NC 28806

The Consumer Data Analyst is responsible for developing advanced analytics for the Consumer lines of business. The primary function is to turn questions and business hypotheses into actionable objectives using data visualizations tools.
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, this role supports the Business Intelligence department's objective to deliver greater business value through better quality data, enhanced consumption channels and advanced analytics.

Specific Job Functions
  • Create analysis summaries of data trends that concisely summarize results and provide actionable objectives to management.
  • Becoming the subject matter expert on all aspects of Consumer data.
  • Use of reporting tool to create dashboards and ad hoc analytics.
  • Partner well with business units as well as other teams within BI to develop holistic and timely solutions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all deliverables.
  • Consistently communicate project status.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with all federal and state banking regulations pertaining to lending and consumer compliance, including fair lending laws.
  • Knowledge of retail banking practices, policies, and procedures.

Job Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field
  • Analyst or advanced report writing experience required. Must have demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases, Excel and basic data analysis methodologies. Experience with Tableau preferred.Banking experience preferred.
