The SQL Programmer II / Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for developing SQL reports, Executive Level Dashboards, internal productivity tools, and the creation and maintenance of databases, tables and data flows. The ideal candidate will continuously innovate, learn new skills, and exercise a passion and drive to deliver excellence.
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, this role supports the Business Intelligence department's objective to deliver greater business value through better quality data, enhanced consumption channels and advanced analytics.
Specific Job Functions
  • Create, troubleshoot, maintain, and modify the following:
    • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports using Visual Basic.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio.
    • Executive level dashboards using a data visualization tool.
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to extract, transform and load data in Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Deploy, schedule, and manage SSIS packages on the SQL Server database.
  • Deploy reports to SSRS and manage report processing options, access control, subscriptions, snapshots, data caching, and other report properties.
  • Consistently write and translate reports, queries, and data extractions according to specifications.
  • Complete performance turning of SQL queries to keep data loads efficient and timely.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all deliverables.
  • Consistently communicate project status.

  • Knowledge of retail banking practices, policies, and procedures.
Physical and Mental Qualifications :
  • Ability to understand and use Bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively one-on-one and in small group meetings or presentations.
  • Ability to understand and/or convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and quickly if necessary.
  • Ability to think and act independently within guidelines and limitations of Bank policy and assigned personal authority.
Job Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL and advanced report writing experience required. Must have demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases, SSIS, SSRS, C# and Visual Basic.
  • Experience with Tableau preferred.
  • Banking experience preferred.
