Hospice Physician at CarePartners Solace Center

CarePartners seeks a PRN Hospice Physician in Asheville, NC This position is responsible for the following;

  • Provision of in patient hospice care in a 26 bed in patient unit with an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assessment of patients medical and functional status by obtaining relevant health and medical history and performing appropriate physical exam.
  • Ensure accurate, complete and timely clinical documentation in accordance with service/department guidelines.
  • Directs the team in transition of care venue and levels of care provided
  • Participates in call and weekend rotation to ensure 24 hour coverage.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
  • Promotes best practices in hospice care and facilitates access to appropriate services.
  • Board certification in Hospice /Palliative medicine or as a hospice Medical director preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence in both medicine and communication skills
